iOS 16 update is expected to roll out around the fall event of Apple, the centrepiece of which will be the iPhone 14 launch. Since iOS 16 has already been announced and many of its features highlighted at the WWDC 2022 event, what does it mean for iPhone 14? Take a sneak peek.
Apple fans have been eagerly waiting for the iPhone 14 launch. It promises to be a game-changer phone in many ways. While nothing has been officially outed, we can try and figure out some features that are likely coming from the new iOS. Apple has recently announced the next iOS upgrade for all iPhones- iPhone 8 to iPhone 13 – during the WWDC 2022 event and it will be on iPhone 14 too. And justifiably, iOS 16 hogged the limelight at the Apple event as there were a number of standout features highlighted. While it is still months away from being rolled out to everyone, iOS 16 promises a whole new experience for users including features that allow customisation of the iPhone lock screen, new iMessage tools for texts, improved Focus mode, better iCloud sharing features, and a lot more.
Several leaks and rumours are hinting toward major upgrades in terms of camera, chipset, battery, and design that iPhone 14 series may pack. In fact, figuring from iOS 16 features, we list some hidden features that iPhone 14 series may show up with. Here’s what iOS 16 features suggest.
iOS 16 features that may show up in iPhone 14
Last year, the iOS 15 announcement introduced the Portrait mode feature for FaceTime calls, which came as a Cinematic Mode with iPhone 13. Similarly, iOS 16 introduced the Visual LookUp feature, which can identify objects, people, pets and landmarks in photos and essentially provide the information or context to it. Well, this can be turned into a much better Cinematic Mode with iPhone 14 series backed with the new A16 Bionic chipset. Who knows, that Cinematic mode may bring more features like Portrait mode such as background replacement. Also, since many leaks have suggested there will be much improved camera on iPhone 14, the features may all add up to a big and pleasant surprise.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, the always-on-display feature with iOS 16 will probably make it to iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Forget about the leak, even the revamped and customizable lock screen also indicates the always-on display.
And this customisation fact about the iOS 16, is what hints at the Pro mode for the camera app for iPhones. As previously several leaks suggested, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have upgraded camera specs. That means new professional features may show up in the Camera app on both these phones.
